To Kill a King?

The Tower of London education team and the Parliamentary Education Service are proud to present a unique and exciting new KS3 study day.
Students will follow the trial and execution of Charles I, and experience history where it happened in two stunning historic environments - the Palace of Westminster and the Banqueting House.
The morning session will take place in Westminster Hall, where students will explore the trial from the perspective of the Parliamentarians. They will then visit the Banqueting House (HRP) in the afternoon to interview Charles himself, and explore the trial and execution from the Royalist perspective. Finally, students will compare the arguements made throughout the day, and decide for themselves which side they would have supported.
This session is being piloted from 1st - 3rd March 2011.
