The Tower is named ‘Take One…’ champion!

Ever heard of the National Gallery’s ‘Take One Picture’ project? Well, we’re really pleased that this exciting approach to learning is now being applied not only to pictures but also to buildings, objects and documents. What’s more, the MLA have named the Tower of London as London champion for ‘Take One…’. This means that over the course of the past six months we’ve been working hard to introduce the ‘Take One…’ project to teachers and museum professionals from across London.
So, what is ‘Take One…’? It’s a project that gives teachers the chance to use a single document, object, picture - or, in our case a building - as a focus for teaching across the curriculum. We’ve chosen the Tower of London’s famous Beauchamp Tower for this year’s project, and the results are looking great.
To find out more about what our partner schools have been up to, look out for our ’Take One…’ updates which will be appearing soon.
